On the 26th of May 2014, in Higher State School of Pope John Paul II in the Biała Podlaska took place a consultation meeting with entrepreneurs in the Biznestrans project – „Cross-border platform for promoting cooperation between business and research institutions in the direction of better links” financed by the European Union under the Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2007-2013 Programme. The consultation focused on the problems associated with doing business in cross-border areas, business financing options from the sources of the European Union and economic trends and the possibility of cross-border areas business development. The meeting was attended by the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Biała Podlaska mgr. inż. Eugeniusz Izdebski, representatives of the Belarusian side and companies’ representatives from districts covered by the project, such as, among others, California Trailer Ltd., Szeptycki Ltd., Uroczysko Zaborek, Budomex Ltd. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Branch of the Marshal’s Office of Lublin in Biała Podlaska.  University authorities who participated in the meeting were the Chancellor of Higher State School mgr. Adam Chodzinski and Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Engineering Sciences in Higher State School prof. dr. Jerzy Nitychoruk. Entrepreneurs  at the meeting had the opportunity to get to know the  infrastructure of Higher State School, including laboratories, the Centre for Research on Innovation of Higher State School.


Biznestrans project aims to contribute to the improvement of cooperation in the field of cross-border business development. Consultations with entrepreneurs in the Biznestrans  project give an opportunity to exchange experiences in the field of business and entrepreneurship opportunities in cross-border areas, as well as a chance to get to know the entrepreneurs’ expectations regarding the project.
